Electrical Substations
In electrical substations, where high voltages and critical equipment are present, maintaining dry conditions is crucial. The dehumidifier helps prevent moisture-related failures and ensures uninterrupted power supply.
Data Centers
Data centers require strict humidity control to protect sensitive electronic equipment. The switchgear dehumidifier contributes to a stable, dry environment, reducing the risk of hardware failures.
Industrial Environments
In industrial settings, where dust, dirt, and humidity can be high, the dehumidifier ensures reliable operation of switchgear, preventing costly downtime and production losses.
Outdoor Enclosures
For outdoor electrical enclosures exposed to the elements, the dehumidifier provides an effective defense against condensation and corrosion, extending the life of the enclosed equipment.
Q: How often does the condensate tank need to be emptied?
A: The frequency of emptying the condensate tank depends on the humidity levels and the size of the tank. Under normal conditions, it is recommended to check and empty the tank weekly.
Q: Is the dehumidifier noisy during operation?
A: The dehumidifier operates quietly, generating minimal noise that is unlikely to disturb people working in close proximity.
Q: Can the dehumidifier be used in corrosive environments?
A: Yes, the dehumidifier is designed to withstand corrosive environments and can effectively reduce humidity levels in such conditions, protecting the switchgear from corrosion.
Q: Is there a filter that needs to be replaced periodically?
A: Yes, the dehumidifier includes an air filter that should be cleaned or replaced periodically to maintain optimal performance and extend the unit's lifespan. Follow the manufacturer's recommendations for filter maintenance.
Q: Does the dehumidifier come with a warranty?
A: Yes, the switchgear dehumidifier is typically covered by a manufacturer's warranty, providing peace of mind and ensuring quality performance for a specified period. Check the product documentation for warranty details.
Wiring and installation
1. Using the M5 screws or 5mm rivets to fix. the dehumidifier device must be upright While installing, outlet facing down;
2. Ensure there is a over 5 cm space between the front of dehumidifier and other devices, to ensure the wind is out of the positive fan outlet.
3. Connect one end of the outlet pipe into the dehumidifier device's delivery port, with clamp fixing, keep the middle of the outlet pipe smooth, it can not be wrapped in order to facilitate drainage. The other end leads to the outside of the cabinet.
4. Connect the power supply terminals L / N to AC220V power supply (see wiring diagram).
5. Connect one of the heater's foot to the load L and connect the other foot to the power supply's N foot.
