Abstract: With the development and progress of Chinas economy and society, the technology is rapidly updated, and the temperature measurement technology of 10 kV high voltage switchgear is no exception. The application of the new wireless temperature measurement technology in the 10 kV high voltage switchgear can

further improve the safety and stability of the distribution system and further meet peoples demand for power. But in the actual operation process, part of the staff application 10 kV high voltage switch cabinet wireless temperature

measuring technology is in accordance with the relevant experience, this not

only to a certain extent, affect the wireless temperature measurement

technology in the application of 10 kV high voltage switch cabinet, but also

guarantee the 10 kV security and stability of high voltage switch cabinet, easy to cause a series of safety accidents, endanger the safety of the staff. Based on this, the principle and technical characteristics of several wireless

temperature measuring sensors commonly used in 10kV high voltage switchgear are introduced to provide reference for relevant staff.

With the prosperity of Chinas economy, peoples requirements for power supply quality have become more and more high. As an important part of the distribution system, 10 kV high voltage switchgear, people have more stringent requirements for its safety and stability. The application of the wireless temperature measurement technology in the 10 kV high voltage switchgear is the application of high and new technology in the electric power industry

Here, the "10 kV high voltage switch cabinet" refers to the switch cabinet with the use environment within the range of 10 kV voltage environment. 1. The working principle of several commonly

used wireless temperature measuring sensors

According to the working principle of wireless temperature sensing components, we mainly divide them into the following five categories: one is thermistor temperature sensor; two is infrared temperature sensor; three is semiconductor sensor; four is acoustic surface temperature sensor; five is passive wireless temperature sensor. The author will introduce these wireless sensors below.

1.1 Thermistor temperature sensor

The working principle of thermistor sensor is mainly according to the change of the temperature. In the process of this change, the size of the resistance value mainly reflects the temperature in the high voltage switch cabinet.

For this type of sensor, the advantages focus on the sensitivity. The disadvantage of this kind of sensor is that the relationship between the corresponding resistance value and temperature is relatively weak, which is easy to make the components aging, which is not conducive to the long-term use of components. And with the passage of time, there will be


some deviation in the accuracy of temperature measurement.

1.2 Infrared temperature measuring sensor

The working principle of infrared temperature measurement sensor is mainly using the law of blackbody radiation. This law means that infrared light is generated for all objects above 0℃. For this type of temperature measurement sensor, because it is measured in the form of non-contact measurement, that is, the measured object does not need direct contact in the measurement, so it is not insulated. The disadvantage of this kind of sensor is that it is easy to be disturbed by other factors during the temperature measurement, such as the temperature and humidity of the measured object.

1.3 Semiconductor sensor

The working principle of semiconductor sensor is mainly to take PN as the main body of temperature measurement, the reason is that the size of PN will be affected by the temperature changes, by using a constant current size, the output current detection, so as to determine the temperature in the high voltage switch cabinet. For this type of temperature measuring sensor, its advantage is a small size, and can work without a power supply. Its disadvantage is that it is difficult to realize the long distance transmission of wireless signal, or in the transmission process encountered obstacles, the temperature measurement position offset and other problems, will cause the inaccurate temperature measurement data.

1.5 passive wireless temperature sensor

Passive wireless temperature sensor mainly uses the form of collecting energy to drive the sensor, which changes the traditional way of battery drive sensor. Because the sensor is mainly using the method of equipotential to measure the temperature, so that the high voltage power system in the running process become safe, and its energy collection technology in environmental protection and no pollution has a significant advantage, so passive wireless temperature sensor will become the important development direction of wireless temperature measurement system in the future.

2 . I n t r od u ctio n of the passive

Due to the significant advantages of the passive wireless temperature measurement system,


the author introduces the passive wireless temperature measurement system with the most advantageous integrated energy technology.

When it is connected to an AC current, an alternating magnetic field appears near the parent band. These magnetic fields were not used before, but by installing special alloy bands on the parent band, the magnetic field can flow with the alloy band. By wrapping the coil around the alloy belt, part of the electric energy can be collected. After a period of accumulation of electric energy, the electric power can drive the MCU, and the MCU can transmit the relevant temperature information to the receiving device.

For this sensor, because the MCU is powered in the form of alternating magnetic field, the sensor can work for a long time without a battery, with an average life of more than 10 years, and less maintenance by staff.

The alloy band is significantly different from the previous silicon steel sheet, with a linear position in the silicon steel sheet. 3.1 Safety

As we all know, passive wireless temperature measuring sensors have a significant advantage in volume, and when the installation is completed, the height formed will not affect the insulation distance, which further strengthens the safety of electrical equipment.

Since the signal transmission distance of the passive wireless sensor can reach 20 m, which meets the requirements of data receiving work, the staff does not need to install excessive receiving equipment, but only the sensor can realize the temperature measurement, so as to ensure the safety of the staff when measuring. This is also one of the important reasons for the security of passive wireless temperature measuring sensors.

3.2 Accuracy

The wireless sensing system mainly adopts the digital sensor with relatively high accuracy, and the temperature is measured through contact. Because it realizes the temperature perception by contact, the device can capture the temperature situation of the temperature measurement point more accurately, and feed back the corresponding temperature data, so as to make the data more accurate. When transmitting the relevant data, the wireless sensing system will check and verify the data, check and screen out the wrong data, and further guarantee the accuracy of the temperature data. This is one of the important reasons for the accuracy of passive wireless temperature measurement sensors.


3.3 Flexibility

The technology has the advantage of having a small size. The staff can apply it to the dynamic and static contacts, or install it on the transformer inlet and exit line and switch joint. Because it can be installed in different locations, it greatly facilitates the construction. Because the number of the sensor is separate, the staff only need to pair it, do not need to coordinate the early work, nor need to maintain and replace the material.

This sensor mainly makes use of frequency division multiple access technology, each sensor uses a frequency band, but its possession time in the frequency band is less than 20 ms, so even if there are many sensor connected, it will not affect the communication quality. This is one of the important reasons for the flexibility of passive wireless temperature measurement sensors.

3.4 Easy to use

3.5 Wide temperature measurement range

For the passive wireless temperature measurement sensor, because it is not bound by the battery power supply problem, it is relatively sufficient in the power supply, and can still realize the data transmission even in the high temperature scenario. At present, its temperature measurement is about 40℃ ~130℃, through the application of some advanced technologies, the temperature measurement range will become larger and larger. This is one of the important reasons why the passive wireless temperature measurement sensor has a wide temperature measurement range.

4 Conclusion

At present in 10 kV high voltage switch cabinet wireless temperature measuring technology application there are many problems, such as: many staff do not understand the 10 kV high voltage switch cabinet wireless temperature measurement technology principle and characteristics, part of the staff is operated according to the relevant experience, this will not only affect the wireless temperature measurement technology in 10 kV high voltage switch cabinet, but also cannot guarantee the stability of 10kV high voltage switch cabinet applications, easy to cause a series of safety accidents, harm the safety of the staff.

Therefore, it is necessary for relevant staff to further understand and be familiar with the principle and technical characteristics of several wireless temperature measuring sensors commonly used in various 10 kV high voltage switchgear. Only by implementing and mastering the relevant technologies and principles, can the staff ensure the safety of the distribution system, make the operation of the distribution system become more stable, so as to meet peoples demand for power resources.
